However, he soon discovered he was not prepared to be a doctor. So, he focused on drama at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance.
It seems that his acting career was perfect for him, so it spans more than seven decades. Throughout his career, he has received three Tony Awards (out of five nominations), two Primetime Emmy Awards and a Grammy Award. Moreover, in 1985, Jones was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame.
