The first Saturday Night Live show was held in 1975 and, over the years, impersonating politicians (US Presidents, more precisely) turned into a real tradition. However, Alec Baldwin’s impression of Donald Trump seems to have conquered the entire world like no other!
In case you live on a different planet and don’t know what we’re talking about, take a look at it here:
Unfortunately to those who enjoyed seeing the actor wearing a blonde wig and saying, well, not very complicated lines, he just declared that he’s not planning on doing it for ‘much longer.’
Aside from that, Baldwin also pointed out to rumors saying that he’ll host the White House Correspondents dinner. Long story short, the US President declared that he will not attend the event and there was this funny idea going on that Baldwin would actually replace him at the White House. With very little modesty, Baldwin declared that:
“Well, I wouldn’t say I’m not lobbying (to play Doanld Trump). But I mean, people would say, ‘Would you do it?’ And there (are) a couple of guys on the Internet who are like, ‘No. Please! I’m the only man who should play Trump.’ And there’s, like, a lot of Trump competition.”
Let us just remind you of another recent declaration made by the Donald Trump impersonators’ self-proclaimed king:
“Trump just overwhelmingly lacks any sportsmanship, he remains, bitter, and angry, and you just want to look at him and go, ‘You won!’” Baldwin said to host Mario Lopez. “His policies aside, which you can hate, I thought he would have just relaxed. The maliciousness of this White House has people worried … that’s why I’m not going to do it much longer, the impersonation, I don’t know how much more people can take it.”
