The capitol building should be the most iconic, instantly recognizable piece of architecture in each state, right? But in reality, very few people are familiar with their state’s capitol building (and forget about those of other states). With all their marble domes and stately stature, state capitols don’t exactly belie much about the individual fabric of their respective states… at least at first glance.
