Drink water on an empty stomach

As many of you probably already know, drinking water on an empty stomach will not only help you stay hydrated but will also help your digestion. Your body needs water to function properly, so this should be the first thing that you do in the morning.

However, it has been proven that a glass of water in the morning can help you reduce your calorie intake throughout the day, which is exactly what you need to lose a few extra pounds or get fit. Studies have shown that drinking water on an empty stomach can help you feel fuller for longer.

So, if you want to transform drinking water into a morning routine, you should keep a glass or a bottle of water on your nightstand. This way you will remember that you have to drink some water right after you wake up.

According to Latoya Julce, New York City-based trainer and 305 Fitness instructor, water is good for your digestive system as well. “I have at least 20 ounces of water as soon as I wake up. It helps cleanse my digestive system and prepare it for the day,” Julce added.

Researchers say that there is a link between water consumption in the morning and weight loss. In other words, people who drink water as soon as they wake up are more likely to lose a few extra pounds than those who don’t.

Add green tea to your diet

According to health experts, green tea is one of the healthiest beverages out there that can boost your overall health. That being said, green tea can be an excellent source of antioxidants. Studies have shown that this type of tea can improve your brain function, help you lose weight and lower the risk of heart disease.

In a 2011 study, researchers analyzed the effects of green tea on the human body and the results show that it can reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease. In addition, according to a study published in the journal Stroke: Journal of the American Heart Association, people who drink green tea regularly are less likely to develop heart disease and stroke.

“This is the first large-scale study to examine the combined effects of both green tea and coffee on stroke risks. You may make a small but positive lifestyle change to help lower the risk of stroke by adding daily green tea to your diet,” said the lead author of the study, Dr. Yoshihiro Kokubo, Ph.D.

Nevertheless, green tea may be ideal for people who try to lose weight or stay fit, because it can stimulate fat burning and boost your metabolism as well. This type of tea is also filled with caffeine and this ingredient can help you increase your physical performance.
