7. J.K. Rowling

Another celebrity that felt sorry about the situation in Ukraine is the author of the popular book series “Harry Potter”. The writer posted on her Twitter account that she wants to help those who are in need of comfort in these uncertain times.

She wrote that she will “personally match donations to this appeal, up to £1m. Thank you so, so much to all who’ve already donated, you’re enabling @lumos to do crucial work for some of the most vulnerable children in Ukraine”.

With that being said, Rowling made donations that are up to $1.3 million for charity Lumos’ emergency demand. The charity where the author made the donations is based in the United Kingdom and works with Ukraine and other countries nearby in order to provide aid to children.
