Do not forget about medical supplies
When choosing to self isolate at home you need to make sure you have all the medicines you normally need, such as nasal sprays, diabetes pills, ibuprofen and more.
“Really mild cases of the virus are treated with everything that you would treat a case of the flu with, like ibuprofen to keep the fever down, which is the CDC and WHO recommendation,” says Cotter.
Moreover, you do not have to wear medical face masks unless you are caring for someone who is infected or only if you are sick. “Masks are needed by healthcare workers, who are seeing a lot of sick people. We need the healthcare system to be up and running. The regular surgical masks, the ones that go over your ears, can help prevent the spread,” said Cotter.
