It is all about food
When you have everything you need in terms of medicines and hygiene, you have to buy some foods that can satisfy your needs while you stay home. Dry goods will last longer in your pantry as well and do not forget about nuts because they are perfect for a snack. Another good option is canned food even though it doesn’t taste as good as freshly cooked food, but it will last longer than other alternatives, so give it a try!
“You want to stock up on pantry items that are shelf stables, like canned or dry beans, grains, rice, and pasta, and also canned fish like sardines, tuna, and wild salmon. They’re a really efficient and effective way to get nutrient-rich, balanced meals,” said the nutritionist Amy Shapiro.
In addition, you can have a healthy meal even with frozen foods. “Frozen goods can be just as healthy as fresh, if not healthier at times. You want to stock up on frozen fruits and vegetables (for smoothies and hot dishes), even some frozen meals,” explained Shapiro.
Nevertheless, if you choose to spend more time at home it doesn’t mean that you can’t buy fresh food, such as vegetables, fruits or meat, because if you have a fridge then you have no reason not to have at least some fresh ingredients.
