Animals do not have chins
Even if we have a lot of things in common with animals, such as similar personality and physical traits, among other things, one that differentiates us from them is the chin. Humans are the only beings who have chins.
According to James Pampush, Ph.D., the co-author of The Enduring Puzzle Of The Human Chin, “If you’re looking across all of the hominids, which is the family tree after the split with chimpanzees, there [aren’t] really that many traits that we can say are exclusively human. The one thing that really sticks out is the chin.”
