When did the bed bugs appear?
Believe it or not, bed bugs have existed since the time of dinosaurs. This is probably the reason why you can’t get rid of them. We can get rid of insects with different chemicals, but some of them will always reappear. So do not worry about them because they will live forever.
“To think that the pests that live in our beds today evolved more than 100 million years ago and were walking the earth side by side with dinosaurs was a revelation. It shows that the evolutionary history of bed bugs is far more complex than we previously thought,” said researcher Mike Siva-Jothy.
