Create small ‘stairs’ that you can gradually reach

On your way to achieving your major goal, you should create certain thresholds or ‘stairs’ that you can gradually reach and set a certain deadline and reward for each of them. For instance, if your goal is to have an organized closet, the first mini goal is to start with your shoes, then continue with your scarves and so on. 

According to Tony Robbins, a famous motivational speaker and personal development coach, “A major source of stress in our lives comes from the feeling that we have an impossible number of things to do. If you take on a project and try to do the whole thing all at once, you’re going to be overwhelmed.”
