Not all ingredients or recipes are actually homemade
Well, this is another marketing strategy to make people choose expensive dishes from the menu. In general, when they see a ‘homemade’ and ‘organic’ label on some products, people tend to choose them because they think that they are healthier. In addition, their higher prices sometimes make them believe that they are actually homemade or bio, but unfortunately not all of them are like that.
According to the former waiter, Jake Blanton, some restaurants buy salad dressings in one gallon jars, then add a few ingredients, such as cheese or herbs and call it ‘homemade’.
Also, people usually tend to associate ‘bio products’ with ‘low calorie and healthy products’, which is wrong, because if you check the product label, you will be surprised at how many calories they actually contain. So, as a general rule, don’t forget that ‘bio’ doesn’t mean low calorie foods.
