6. Donald Trump
This may turn out to be a surprise for you, due to the fact that we all know Donald Trump as being a rich man.
Even though he never filed for bankruptcy himself, he used to run a few businesses that declared bankruptcy, due to the fact that they weren’t able to pay all of their bills.
In the 1980s, Trump was a real-estate investor who achieved three casinos, but by 1991, he didn’t succeed to pay their debts. All three of them declared bankruptcy: The Taj Mahal in 1991 and the Trump Castle and the Trump Plaza a year after, in 1992.
After some time, the debt had been restructured and the casinos went to another company, but in 2004, he filed for bankruptcy again.
