Sleep contributes to a faster recovery of your body

As you already know, sleep is crucial to improving your health and body, preventing injury and helping your body heal and recover faster, especially if you are an athlete.

For instance, “imagine you’re a car or something that’s running for 16 hours during the day,” Kryger said. “You’re going to have to do stuff to get back to normal. You just can’t keep on running.”

According to recent studies, athletes who get enough sleep have a good mood, experience faster muscle recovery, have a lower level of stress, faster speed and great performance. But these benefits are also valid for those who are not so active. In fact, our body needs rest to function in normal parameters. For example, athletes who practice high performance sports should sleep between ten and twelve hours a night, plus frequent naps throughout the day.

Well, the truth is that we are all different and have different needs, but one of the most important things that we all have in common is the need for sleep. So, it’s crucial to follow a healthy sleep routine and not sleep less than 8 hours a night.
