Sleep is good for your memory
If your daily work involves being creative, making decisions, thinking, learning new things and interacting with other people, you should definitely sleep at least 8 hours a night to improve your brain function. Otherwise, you risk losing your job, being exhausted and irascible every single day, and worse than that, ending up sick in a hospital.Â
The idea is that such activities need a rested mind and your brain function will only be improved by getting enough sleep. “As you sleep, memories are reactivated, connections between brain cells are strengthened, and information is transferred from short- to long-term,” said the National Sleep Foundation. “Without enough quality sleep, we become forgetful.”
