Don’t Buy Store-Brand Trash Bags …

Buy this instead: Name-Brand Trash Bags

Yes, Target’s and Walmart’s generic brands can save you money and are often the better deal. But it certainly doesn’t pay to skimp on certain items, especially trash bags.

“The small savings that Target’s up & up generic brand provides is not worth it when your trash ends up on the kitchen floor,” said Kyle James of coupon and deal website Rather-Be-Shopping.

So if you’re deciding between Target’s up & up Ultra FlexGuard Tall Kitchen 120-pack of bags and the Glad Guaranteed Strong 120-pack, which are similar in price, “opt for the Glad kitchen bags,” he said.

  1. I buy certain fresh produce at Target, such as bananas, Clementines, and blueberries. They are much less than the same items at Publix, and just as good. I also buy my meat at Target, which is also less expensive than Publix (unless they have it on sale), and I think it’s of better quality.

  2. UNITED in Tx. Is an outstanding store, clean, manager always around, great meat and Variety . Friendly staff. They are a bit higher but for the quality and atmosphere it’s worth it.
