6. Delaware

The state’s immigrant population increased from 72,000 in 2010 to 88,000 in 2015. People born in different countries make up 9.3% of the Delaware’s total population. The most common countries of origin are Guatemala, India, China and Mexico. Delaware is one of 12 states that grant driver’s licenses to people regardless of their immigration status. Nearly 45% of immigrants in this state are naturalized citizens.
