Some famous companies were caught selling horse meat to their customers. Apparently, these companies that served horse meat were not doing so intentionally, because their meat suppliers were mixing in porcine and equine (pig and horse meat) into all-beef products. Most of all are frozen food products like burgers, kebabs, meatballs, ravioli, pizza, meat pies, empanadas and other items.
The food scandal is in Europe, but seems that some of the horse meat is coming from the United States via Mexico. So, here’s a list with these famous companies that were caught selling horse meat.
