This is the biggest grocery chains in the UK and was found selling hamburger patties that were one third horse meat. In Tesco’s Everyday Value burgers, horse meat was 29% of the meat content of the burger patties. Some DNA tests for horse meat confirmed that Tesco Everyday Value spaghetti bolognese sauce contained 60% horse meat.
Asda Stores Limited
This is a UK subsidiary of Wal-Mart and pulled jars off bolognese pasta sauce after the product was revealed of having traces of horse meat. A test confirmed that there was horse DNA in beef products.
