The National Low Income Housing Coalition claims that a usual American family needs to earn $20.30 an hour to afford a two-bedroom apartment. Their studies also concluded that an American should spend no more than 1/3 of his/her salary on rent. But we all know that real life isn’t that simple and when it comes to doing the math yourself, things are a bit different.

That’s exactly why they created an infographic as a detailed version of how much you should earn to rent a 2 bedroom apartment in every single state in the US!

How much do you earn per hour? Do you feel like it’s enough to support your monthly spending? Please let us know in the comments!
