BASIC INFORMATION
- The killer was identified as David Kelley, a former US Air Force member, who also died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound while trying to leave the murder scene;
- Kelley escaped from a mental facility in 2012 where he was put in by the US Air Force after assaulting his wife and step-son;
- The shooter was wounded by a resident of the town of about 400 people who heard the gunshot, grabbed his rifle and raced to the church, shooting the 26-year-old twice as he fled.
