Ever wondered what it would be like to be an intrepid polar explorer? With all mod-cons of course. Then look no further than the Ship In The Ice. Located in Tempel fjord in the Norwegian Arctic, this over 100 year old polar vessel has been converted into a quite breathtaking holiday destination.
With stunning views of Tempel Mountain in the daytime and the mesmerizing spectacle of the Aurora Borealis (The Northern Light) to light up the night sky, this frozen setting is a feast for the eyes.
If you are lucky you might even get to see some polar bears, but hopefully, you’ll be on the deck of the ship, not the ice beneath it.
