Being in the spotlight too early in their life, the Olsen twins followed the same path of self-destruction as other Hollywood star children. Their parents, Jarnette Jones and David Olsen, divorced when they were only 8 years old, at the end of their debut series. And this has contributed to the downfall of the twins.
In 2004, Mary-Kate was admitted to a clinic due to anorexia. There were also rumors about drug problems. The other sister, Ashley, was partying all the time, being caught by the paparazzi in a deplorable condition.
Since then, the two gave up their acting careers, moving towards a career in fashion. But they no longer received the same attention with which they were accustomed.
