Brad Pitt
- Childhood dream: to become an architect
Brad Pitt is not only an excellent actor, but he is also a good film producer. He is the recipient of several awards, including two Golden Globe Awards and an Academy Award for his acting, as well as an Academy Award, another Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award as producer.
Nevertheless, what many people don’t know about Brad Pitt is that his childhood dream was to become an architect. He even studied computer-aided design at the Los Angeles offices of renowned architect Frank Gehry.
Pitt contributed to ‘Design e2’, a PBS television series about sustainable architecture, co-authored an architectural book on the Blacker House with the architects Thomas A. Heinz and Randell Makinson, and founded the Make It Right Foundation (to rebuild 150 safe and affordable homes for families from New Orleans Lower 9th Ward who lost everything to Hurricane Katrina) – these are just a few of his architectural projects.
