Cardi B is an American rapper who became famous by achieving popularity on Vine and Instagram. Her debut studio album called Invasion of Privacy was released in 2018 and earned her the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.
However, going back to her stage name, Cardi B is actually short for Bacardi. To be more specific, during an interview, our beautiful rapper said that her sister’s name is Hennessy (as a French cognac brand), so everyone used to call her Bacardi (a rum brand) and it became her nickname, which was eventually shorted to her actual stage name.
