Not using heat properly
There are some foods that should be cooked at a higher temperature than others, and you should be aware because if you do not use the right heat you may notice some negative changes. For instance, while you can get food poisoning from food that is not cooked properly and almost raw, others can lose their nutritional value due to a too high temperature.
According to Rebekah Ziesmer, a development chef at Conagra Brands, a common mistake is not using heat properly. If you want to cook pancakes or French toast, then you shouldn’t put the heat too high. “Both the pan and the oil should be heated before adding the food so that it sears, rather than soaking up the oil,” said Ziesmer.
