Using too much oil

When you prepare your breakfast (or any other meal) you should avoid using too much oil, because it will make your food soggy, sickly and unhealthy.

Even though there are some foods that are really tasty because they are cooked with a large amount of oil, such as French fries or hash browns, it doesn’t mean that they are automatically good for you body. These types of recipes could lead to diabetes, obesity and liver issues because they increase the level of cholesterol.

It is true that oils and fats are necessary to stay healthy, but too much oil can adversely affect your health, so pay attention to this aspect next time when you prepare your meals.

“It’s common to want to add a lot of oil for crispier hash browns, but too much oil makes them soggy,” says Patel.

But, if you want to make super crispy potatoes, you should use clarified butter and a larger surface area – and the secret ingredient: waxy russet potatoes. “If making [hash browns] from scratch, grate potatoes, rinse extra starch, and season well,” she says.
