Metformin and alcohol
Metformin (sold under the brand name Glucophage among others) is the most common medication used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. It is especially recommended for overweight people. Metformin can be used even in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Avoid excessive alcohol consumption during treatment with Metformin as it may increase the risk of lactic acidosis.
