Depression
We’ve all heard of depression, maybe we’ve seen it in movies or maybe we’ve suffered from it at some point in our lives. However, the truth is that, most of the time, depression is portrayed as a sad state of mind that could be cured in a day or a week, but in reality, things are totally different and more serious that needs specialized help and treatment – not to mention that many people end up committing suicide.
According to health experts, depression is a disorder that could affect people of all ages, regardless of their race, gender, religion and so on. It’s important to understand that there’s a difference between depression – which is a serious medical condition – and feeling down at times –  which is a normal part of life. The most common causes of depression are family history, childhood trauma, brain structure, other medical conditions or even drug abuse.
