Many people think that biting your nails and having negative thoughts is actually OCD, but according to researchers, this illness isn’t about these types of habits, OCD being more complex.
For example, OCD is about putting things on a certain position (symmetry) and being obsessive about ordering them that way or having a compulsive habit such as checking your door repeatedly, even though you know that it’s already locked, or washing your hands obsessively.
People who suffer from this illness don’t want to do these actions, but they simply can’t stop.
