Stressed people usually skip their work outs
Well, some people characterize exercising as their oasis of relaxation and they have all the reasons to do so. Exercising is a form of stress relief and also a technique that helps people stimulate their brains and boost their immune system. So, if you try to work out every day for at least thirty minutes, not only will you be happier – because sport releases endorphins, which are the hormones of happiness – but you will be healthier as well.
“Human and animal research indicates that being physically active improves the way the body handles stress because of changes in the hormone responses,” said Erica Jackson, associate professor of movement science at Delaware State University. “That exercise affects neurotransmitters in the brain such as dopamine and serotonin that affect mood and behaviors.”
“People that are stressed – if it’s because of their schedule and time – they’re going to skip the gym and boot the exercise from their life,” Kahn said.
According to some studies, exercising can lower the levels of anxiety and people who work out are less likely to get depressed. So, during the coronavirus pandemic, you can take advantage of your free time while staying at home and try to exercise every day for at least 30 minutes. You will definitely see the difference between a sedentary and active life.
Also, you have to know that stress can increase muscle tension and you will be more likely to develop some problems with your joints and tendons. You should pay attention to your energy levels and choose the right type of exercise for that day. You do not need to do high intensity work outs to stay healthy and happy.
