Seashell decorations
People who love the Scandinavian minimalist style probably decorate with many seashells. In fact, almost all ocean-themed styles involve sea decorations, such as seashells, corals, or different marine plants. But these sea-themed decorations are not at all in trend this year. Yet, they even create an old-fashioned atmosphere in your home.
“In terms of longevity, I don’t think seashells are here to stay. In the right home, they can be awesome, but overall I think 2020 home decor trends will not involve many seashells,” said interior designer, Emily Henderson.
Dark walls
Black walls can be very elegant and beautiful in a well-styled house, but this trend can’t be implemented in any type of house or style. In some cases, black can create a stressful atmosphere rather than a cozy one. So, you have to pay attention to what you want to create before making any changes. Moreover, it seems that black walls will no longer be in trend in 2020, so take it into consideration before renovating.
“I’m glad to see the end of the dark walls. Although they can make a space feel cozy, particularly in the evening, and are often great backdrops for art, I find dark walls oppressive,” said interior designer, Dee Campling.
