New accessories and furniture
Paradoxically, may interior designers suggest that it is more interesting to use vintage, but improved, accessories and furniture than to opt for new and expensive things, which are not even as qualitative as they should be.
“New things can be great, but we’re hoping to see more and more spaces embrace vintage pieces. We’re all about reducing consumption. Giving old objects new life is not only great for our planet but brings so much character and soul to interior spaces,” said interior designers Sara & Rich Combs.
Terrazzo patterns
Terrazzo is a composite material used for floor and wall treatments. Many people use this term to describe any pattern similar to the original terrazzo floors. This style was very popular and used by many people who want to add to their home a different pattern that denotes elegance.
But according to the interior designer, Becki Owens, this should be avoided this year. “I’m personally not a huge fan of terrazzo. So if 2020 means the end of that trend, it’s safe to say I’d be glad to say goodbye to it,” she said.
