In 1984, a 19-year-old Michael Dell established PC’s Limited with $1,000 savings. A decade later, he was the youngest CEO on the Fortune 500 list and Dell.com was generating $1 million in sales per day. Despite becoming one of America’s most respected and well-loved companies, most manufacturing has now moved from U.S. plants to Asia and Mexico.
