Craftsman tools
Craftsman — the tools and outdoor equipment manufacturers — was sold to Stanley Black & Decker last year for about $900 million, according to CNN Money. Once proudly touted as being made in America, the former owner Sears Holdings contracted manufacturers in China to make most of its tools. However, Stanley has suggested Craftsman manufacturing is coming back onto U.S. soil, stating on its website: “We’re bringing job opportunities and pride in craftsmanship back to America”.
