The Mayan Cenotes
These waterways are believed to be portals to Xibalba, the underwold of the ancient Maya civilisation. From human remains to giant temples, various proofs of worship were found in this caves from Central America and Mexico. The most famous human remains found in the Crystal Maiden are of an 18 year old girl, who was probably sacrificed to please the evil gods of death.
