6. Dave Prowse
While audiences might not be familiar with the name of the British character actor Dave Prowse, or even his voice (we can thank James Earl Jones for that), people all over the world would definitely recognize his imposing stature as he was the man behind the mask, the man who donned the Darth Vader suit in the original Star Wars trilogy.
The 6-foot-6 former bodybuilder was already battling Alzheimer’s when he contracted COVID-19 in November 2020 and was admitted to a hospital in London. He died two weeks later on November 28 due to the virus. As there were COVID restrictions at that time in the UK, sadly, his family couldn’t be by his side.
