Kal Penn
Kalpen Suresh Modi (best known as Kal Penn) starred in a lot of TV series and films, such as House, Harold & Kumar film series and The Namesake. However, what many people didn’t know about our famous actor is that he was a staff member in the Barack Obama administration.
In 2009, he joined the Obama administration as the Principal Associate Director in the White House Office of Public Engagement. Nevertheless, Penn left his post as Obama’s associate director of public engagement in 2010 because he decided to return to his acting career.

Very misleading title. None of these stars went on to “regular” jobs.
