Donald Trump
At this point, the 45th President of the United States has gained quite a reputation for his half-truths, lies and contradictory statements, and this is certainly the case when it comes to vaccinations. Throughout the early 2010s he made several comments condemning mandatory vaccination and making numerous claims suggesting that vaccines are linked to autism.
However, when a measles outbreak occurred in the Spring of 2019, the sitting President was quick to change his tune. Suddenly he was all for vaccinations, extolling the importance of children getting their shots to CNN’s Joe Johns. This wasn’t the first time Trump has done an about-face on his previous claims, and it certainly won’t be the last.
