Veronica Lake
Veronica Lake was an American actress best known for her roles as the femme fatale. Unfortunately, in the 1940s, her career started to decline, because she found peace of mind in alcohol. Although she appeared in several TV shows as a guest, her success in acting also began to decline.
Lake appeared in a single film in the 1950s but tried to return to the big screen in 1966. So, she starred in Footsteps in the Snow (1966), but it wasn’t enough to revive her career. However, she died in poverty because of hepatitis and acute kidney injury.
