You can’t let things go
As I said before, highly intelligent people are also very curious, so out of a desire to solve certain problems and to better understand themselves as social individuals (or the people around them) and their own emotional states, they focus more on their feelings, on the root of various problems and start to overthink.
However, overthinking and over focusing on solving your problems every time, as well as trying to figure out what caused you a certain negative emotion, can lead to even more anxiety and depression. Don’t forget that, if you want to be happier, you should stop overthinking.
According to experts, people with higher IQ levels tend to have a hard time letting things go or staying focused on the present. Nevertheless, analyzing problems that can’t be solved in your mind can increase your risk of depression.
