You are more likely to engage in risky behavior

We all believe that homo sapiens evolved due to our intelligence, because it differentiated us from other species and helped us evolve physically and mentally. However, this theory is relatively true. In other words, intelligence was really needed to evolve from primates and transform human beings into what we are today, but what helped us survive over these thousands of years was our instinct and involuntary self-defense mechanisms.

For example, during the early days of evolution, intelligent humans tended to analyze the footprints of predators and calculate the chances of being attacked by them, hence, curiosity usually led them into the claws of predators, while people with low IQ levels relied on basic instincts and ran to save themselves at the slightest sign of a predator.

That being said, experts say that, out of curiosity, intelligent people are more likely to engage in risky behavior than other individuals.
