… even though you are clearly symptomatic
Given the fact that there are thousands of people who get sick and need to be tested daily across the globe, sometimes the results can take longer even when the person clearly has symptoms specific to this infection.
“I was told by doctors I shouldn’t be tested because I probably have it. I sat home for three days with fever consistently around 102.5 [degrees]. I just went down to urgent care, where I walked in and out in 25 minutes and got my results in under 24 hours,” said Josh Berg of Woodbury, New York.
Unfortunately, his wife experienced the same symptoms, or even more severe, but she never got a test. “I don’t have a negative bone or depressed ounce in my body, but it definitely starts to wear on you. Anger, frustration, depression, helplessness. It’s all present,” he said.
