You eat to cure boredom
People who don’t have an active lifestyle that keeps them focused or relaxed are more likely to eat to cure their boredom. “I think that people find that they’re bored and that’s why they’re eating too much. When we’re looking for an activity eating becomes the easiest thing to do,” says Smith.
Smith added that “I usually like to talk them through finding a couple of activities to do that are specific to the evening that can help keep them occupied like reading, taking a bath, or calling a friend.”
