Eating food within 5 seconds of dropping it on the floor is a good idea or not?
This theory about grabbing the food in five seconds, or ‘the five second rule’ was invented by people to prevent food waste or to eat something they have already paid for, but you have to know that this is not a real thing. So, do not eat foods that have fallen on the floor, because bacteria need just a few milliseconds to contaminate the produce.Â
Additionally, moist foods can attract more bacteria than dry ones and before saving the produce on the ground you have to make sure that the floor is clean. In other words, bacteria proliferation is based on how clean the floor is.
