Lisa Bonet
Famous for playing the free-spirited Denise Huxtable on the Cosby Show, Bonet told Phil Donahue on his talkshow The Donahue Show in 1990 that vaccines could potentially “introduce alien microorganisms into our children’s blood” and linked vaccines to “cancer, leukemia, multiple sclerosis, sudden infant death syndrome.”
Bonet talked about why she refused to vaccinate the daughter she had with former husband Lenny Kravitz, actress Zoe Kravitz, as she shared the stage with the late River Phoenix and Raul Julia. She was one of the first high profile celebrities to go on television and openly express her concerns about vaccines. Despite her concerns and claims, there is still no evidence that vaccines can cause any of the serious ailments she listed on the show.
