Feeling cold and craving for certain foods
Did you know that you can actually feel cold even if you only see someone saying that they are feeling cold? Researchers say that feeling cold is contagious. According to a study done by the University of Sussex, there is a phenomenon called temperature contagion and occurs when people see another person in a cold situation. In other words, temperature contagion makes you feel instantly cold.
For instance, this study has shown that people started to feel cold when they saw a video of other individuals dipping their hands into ice water. The study concluded that participants felt cold after watching the video, but their body temperature remained the same, which means that it was a cognitive reaction, a kind of self-suggestion.
In addition, there are many marketing strategies that use subliminal messages to make people buy different products. To be more specific, they can make you crave certain foods by placing various subliminal messages in the ads.
For example, in an experiment, the researchers placed an image in a video with a certain brand of soda. The image was so fast that it could not have been intentionally observed, but the human brain could notice it anyway, increasing the craving for that kind of soda. After the experiment, the subjects were asked to choose a type of juice and everyone who saw that video chose that brand. So, this is another method of contagion.
Happiness
As in the case of loneliness, happiness can be contagious as well. As you probably know, many psychologists and health experts recommend that you surround yourself only with positive people because you can take over their energy and good vibes. That’s why you should choose your friends wisely because you don’t need negative and pessimistic people in your life that make you feel unwanted or sad.
So, now that you all know that the people you spend time with can have a major impact on your life and mood and happiness is contagious, it’s important to understand that we live in a universe full of different types of energy and it’s essential to extract and attract only good and positive ones.

Super information!!
From page 2: “Their hypothesis is that these diseases coexist with an altered microbiome that exists in your gut, and in general, people spread microbes with the people they cohabitate or interact with. In general, these unhealthy altered microbiomes are responsible for causing the disease in other people.”
I can understand how this could be true. But if my microbiome is healthy and my spouse’s isn’t, the implication is the unhealthy microbiome will be passed to me. Why would the healthy microbiome lose to the unhealthy ones?
If this is true, than it is chilling and the implications are incredible! “… people spread microbes with the people they cohabitate or interact with.” So the people I work with for many hours most of the days in a week can affect my health because they are unhealthy. “Here try the cookies we made”, says the obese, unhealthy guy in your workplace. He’s being nice, right? I have a new and different outlook on things. It all makes sense, we should have known.
