William Henry Harrison, the ninth president of the United States in 1841.

William Henry Harrison played an important role in the development of the United States of America because he had a very popular reputation and he was considered a war hero after defeating the American Indians in the Battle of Tippecanoe in 1811. William Henry Harrison became president at the age of 68 and he was the oldest president of America (this record was held for 140 years, though), but he died about a month after the presidential election. He was also the first president who died during his electoral mandate.

Moreover, the president had the longest inauguration speech of all time (8.445 words), which took him two hours to read in brutal and cold weather, but he died after 31 days from pneumonia. So, he had the shortest presidency, perhaps because of his lengthy speech? Who knows?
