Burt Reynolds

Burt Reynolds was an American actor, director, and producer, regarded as an icon of American popular culture. He gained more fame after starring in Gunsmoke (1962–1965), Hawk (1966), and Dan August (1970–1971), but his breakthrough role was as Lewis Medlock in Deliverance (1972).

In addition, he was voted the number one box office star in the world for five consecutive years, from 1978 to 1982. Reynolds was also the recipient of numerous accolades, including five Golden Globe Awards nominations, winning other two Golden Globe Awards; a Primetime Emmy Award, and another nomination; Academy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actor, among others.

The actor died of a heart attack in 2018, at the age of 82, while still actively working in the film industry. Reynolds starred in two films that were released after his death, namely, An Innocent Kiss (2019) and Defining Moments (2020).
