Philip Seymour Hoffman

Philip Seymour Hoffman was an American actor, director, and producer who started his acting career in a 1991 episode of Law & Order, starring in films in 1992. However, he gained more fame after starring in Scent of a Woman (1992), Twister (1996), Boogie Nights (1997), among other famous films. Hoffman also won numerous accolades, including the Academy Award for Best Actor.

It’s no secret that Hoffman struggled with drug addiction as a young adult, but his addiction recurred again in 2012, so unfortunately, in 2014 the actor died of combined drug intoxication. The film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, (2014) was released more than a year after his death.
